DÜSSELDORF, Germany — Torben Teichmann, a service technician for TK Elevator, arrives at an office building. To do maintenance on an elevator, he dons his hard hat, safety glasses and gloves and takes out the tools he needs to access the parts of the elevator the public rarely sees.
